Suffolk Punch!
Well we certainly hope not. The Swans make the journey to Bury Town in Suffolk to face a team riding high in the Ryman and enjoying 4th place following only one defeat this season. A home draw with hendon during the week highlighted either a depleted squad due to injury or the resting of players ready for Saturday. No matter what, the Swans will have to be on the ball to progress in what has been a successful competition for both squads over the past few seasons. Following the departure of Ali Chaaban the competition to be the one who puts the ball in the net will be fierce, with several players relishing the opportunity to take the place of our FA Cup star . . .
Its been a 'Big' week at Wheatsheaf Park . . .
During the course of the week the club have opened the doors to two firsts this week, last night saw Alan Boon and Steve Cordery facing the music as the fans fired questions about the club, the players and the opportunities ahead. A big thank you to all who attended an interesting and informative evening. On Tuesday evening the players faced the music in more ways than one. Filming for a documentary about charity soon had the lads open mouthed when the ref, not very ably supported by linesmen Steve Parsons and Paul Fleckney, gave a dubious penalty to the visitors. What happened next you will have to wait and see when MTV launch their new programme Flash Prank, Says it all doesn't it . . . we will keep you updated. Many thanks to the film company for the donation to the Baby Unit at St Peters in return for the filming.

STAINES TOWN (0) 0 HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE (0) 1
Wheatsheaf Lane avoided the worst of the wet weather on Saturday, and although showery the pitch held up well even when the rain worsened after half time. Steve Cordery made two changes, as Danny Gordon returned from his lower back injury and replaced Richard Orlu in defence, whilst fans were denied the chance to see Jacob Walcott's home début as he was ill, so Warren Harris returned to the starting XI. Havant & Waterlooville were without the suspended Hopkinson and Williams. Staines attacked the Penton Hook end in the first half. Leroy Griffiths was briefly with the Hampshire club, while they in turn fielded Jake Newton, who was later replaced by Jon McDonald - both ex-Swans . . . .
