Having only left Wheatsheaf Park just after Christmas 2009, to join Bromley, ‘Butts’ has returned in the close-season to quickly begin what is hoped to be a second successful spell with the Swans. A local player, born and still living just ten minutes from Wheatsheaf Park, Butler made a quick rise into neighbours Ashford Town (Middx)’s first team becoming a habitual goalscorer in the Isthmian League whilst still a teenager. From there he joined AFC Wimbledon and became a further hero with ‘Wombles’ where he forged a reputation as a player who always gave at least 100% to the cause on the pitch. Following some injury problems, he spent a short stint with St Albans City in the Conference South before first joining the Swans in February 2008.
